Narrabri Nakamarra was born c. 1950 in Haats Bluff, and sadly passed away on June 2010. Narrabri was the daughter of MakintiNapanangka and sister in-law to Ngoia Pollard Napaltjarra both Telstra Award winning artists. Narrabri satarted painting in 1999 depicting strong influences from her mother, in particular the use of straight line work depicting Tali (sand hills) and themes associated with their women's ceremonial site of Lupulunga that her mother was custidian of. Prior to Narrabris'passing she had developed a unique and distinctive style.
